The Local Probe Microscopy Forum Sonde Locale will return to Belgium for its 26th edition, from Monday, March 31 to Friday, April 4, 2025, at Spa, located in the heart of the Belgian Ardennes.
Since its inception in 1998 in Sangatte, the Forum has annually brought together users from various fields—biologists, chemists, physicists, and engineers—to stimulate discussions between experts and novices, with a strong presence of doctorate students. Its goal is to bring together French-speaking stakeholders (mainly from France, Belgium, and Switzerland) in local probe microscopy (AFM, STM, SNOM, and related methods). It provides an opportunity for experienced researchers, students, and industry professionals to share advances in both fundamental nanoscience research and practical applications and equipment.
