Multi Layer Ceramic Capacitor (MLCC)
Metals & Ceramics
An MLCC is a multi-layer structure composed of alternating metal electrodes and ceramic dielectric layers. Using Kelvin Probe Force Microscopy (KPFM), the surface potential was observed under a 2 V bias applied between two metal electrodes, clearly revealing the voltage contrast across the capacitor structure.
