"Quo vadis Microscopy: News and Trends at Park Systems"
Presenter: Dr. Alexander Klasen, Principal Scientist, Park Systems Europe GmbH
- Date: Sunday, February 1, 2026
- Time: 17:45–18:00
- Session: VIII – Nano-Particles and -Assemblies
State-of-the-art research demands instrumentation capable of resolving nanoscale features without altering or damaging the sample — across environments ranging from physiological conditions to vacuum.
In this talk, Dr. Alexander Klasen will present recent developments in Scanning Probe Microscopy (SPM), highlighting how modern AFM-based techniques enable sub-nanometer precision while simultaneously quantifying mechanical, electrical, electrostatic, and chemical properties.
The talk connects current research challenges with practical advances in AFM technology, offering insight into where high-resolution microscopy is heading next, including recent developments such as Photoinduced Force Microscopy (PiFM) for local chemical analysis.
See you in Linz!
Whether you want to discuss a specific application, compare AFM techniques, or simply see the NX10 AFM live, we look forward to meeting you at our booth.
